APSU Sports Information: Austin Peay BasketballClarksville, TN Whitney Hanley, a senior on the Austin Peay State University women basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.The Mt. Washington, KY native opened the Ohio Valley Conference season with three consecutive 20-plus scoring efforts. The senior guard opened league play by scoring 22 points at Tennessee State. She then added 21 points at Morehead State and capped the week off with a 24-point, eight-rebound performance in the Lady Go stanley cup vs victory at Eastern Kentucky.The last time a Lady Gov recorded at least three consecutive 20-plus scoring kubki stanley performances was in 2006 when Ashley Haynes broke the 20 point mark in four-straight games to end her career.For the week, Hanley averaged 22.3 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, shot 16-19 from the free-throw line and had four steals in the week three contests.The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year.
