BANGOR, Maine 鈥?A Belfast man admitted Monday in U.S District Court that he was part of a drug ring that distributed cocaine in Waldo County.Shawn Perito, 33, pleaded guilty to conspiracy with the intent to distribute more than 500 grams 鈥?more than a pound 鈥?of cocaine in late 2008 or early 2009, according to court documents.A sentencing date has not been set.The drug was obtained from Carlos Flores Zamora, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who lived in the Bronx in New York City, according to court documents.Perito faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 40 years in federal prison. According to his plea agreement, Perito waived his right to a stanley flask ppeal the sentence if it is less than 12 years and seven months.He has been held without bail since his arrest last month.Perito was one of four men indicted by a federal grand jury on the same charge. Brothers Christopher Hurley, 29, and Matthew Hurley, both of Belfast and Los Angeles, and Phillip Kelley, 34, of Belfast also were indicted.
