BANGOR, Maine 鈥?A 29-year-old local woman called police from the Hammond Lumber parking lot early Saturday morning to tell them her boyfriend assaulted her several times, including while they danced at the nearby Barnabys nightclub, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Tuesday.Lucus Qualey, 28, who has a previous domestic violence conviction, and the woman went to the Odlin Road bar Friday night and  had a couple stanley cup  drinks,  the sergeant said. At one point,  he became upset and assaulted her on the dance floor,  Edwards said.The couple then left Barnabys and drove off in Qualeys truck, the woman told police, but Qualey was so upset he pulled over at the lumber yard, assaulted her again and threatened to kill her, Edwards said. He pulled her out of the truck, threw her to the ground and assaulted her again,  the sergeant said.The woman was treated at a local hospital for a head injury, Edwards said.Qualey was found and arrested about 4 a.m. Saturday and was charged with felony domestic violence criminal threatening and domestic violence assault. The charge was elevated to a felony because of his prior conviction, Edwards said.
