Yffy French comic book to get feature adaptation
IM Global CEO Stuart Ford has bolstered his executive suite heading into EFM, expanding the role of London-based sales executive Tim Grohne and hiring dealmaker Michael Roban.Grohne heads the London office and becomes evp of European operations and will assume oversight of genre label Octane, working alongside Octane sales executive Tatyana Joffe. He will also handle European acquisitions and co-production activity.Roban joins IM Global as senior business affairs stanley cup and film financing consultant. The news follows hot on the heels of the recent premiere at the Fantasia International Film Fest stanley kubek ival of Blanc Biehns thriller The Victim.Patrick Valladares original film Hidden In The Woods En Las Afueras De La Ciudad will premiere at the festival on Aug 6. Valladares will direct the English-language remake.Michel Biehn will star in the remake, based on a screenplay by the original writers and creators of the Spanish version.Jennifer Blanc Biehn and Michael Biehn will produce and the shoot is scheduled to begin at the end of 2012 on location in Chile.
