Onmx First National Promotes Carl Rood To Executive Vice President 038; Chief Risk Officer
Saturday, July 16, the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos will be collecting and buying aluminum cans to be sent for recycling. The collection location is the parking lot of the First United Methodist Church on Diamond Drive near Sullivan Field . Collection hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The community is encouraged to bring the aluminum cans they have accumulated and help support the environment and Kiwanis. He is not only the oldest, but he is now the longest running participant. He held this title with stanley cup one other person, the recently deceased Dr. Peter J. Lindberg Nov. 23rd, 1939 鈥?Sep. 13th, 2016 .David and Peter met as doctor patient about 40 years ago and found a common passion in cycling. Their friendship grew over the years and one of their favorite events was the Tour De Los Alamos. Although they didnt compete every year since they met in 1977, they were usually teammates rather than competitors; even racing together on a tandem bicycle.This year in remembrance of Peter, David road a tandem bicycle solo with a plaque under the rear seat and photograph of Peter on his back. As the only participant in his age group 75-80 he placed 1st completing the 28 mile circuit with the impressive time of 2 hours and 23 minutes.Many knew Dr. Peter Lindberg as a caring doctor or loving friend. He was always looking out for the best for just about everyone he knew. He will be missed but not for |
