Courtesy/Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries FLACL News:The FLACL Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries Friends Bookstore has expanded its business hours again. The bookstore is now open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.With continuation of being open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, the bookstore has almost returned to prepandemic operating hours.The Friends Bookstore still maintains safety protocols with facemask requirements, limited occupancy of no more than four customers at a time and stanley de asks that only one reasonably sized bag or box be donated at one time.The Friends Bookstore was closed for five months during the library remodeling project in 2018 and for more than a year in 2020/21 when Los Alamos County closed due to the stanley cup COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, the FLACL has managed to provide the community libraries with invaluable funding at a critical time.
