Submitted articleThe Oswego City School District received a $10,000 Entergy grant for a four day summer writing institute conducted by Teachers College, Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University.The Writing Institute is designed for educators, classroom teachers and curriculum specialists to turn classrooms into rich w stanley cup riting and reading workshops. Some of the topics that will be discussed during the institute will include developing units of study in the writing wor stanley cup usa kshop, helping students make connections to their reading through writing, using literature to help students craft their writing and the importance of assessment based instruction.The pilot program was instituted at the Kingsford Park Elementary School during the past year and has been a huge success.
