Who Hasnt Qualified In The HouseWith a little less than a month until the June 1 qualifying deadline, we still have a few House races where we are waiting on incumbents to make their decision on whether or not they will be a candidate for re-election. As it turns out, all Republicans have either qualified or announced they will not be running for re-election. We are waiting to hear from the following Democrats: Billy McCoy HD 3 , Willie Bailey HD 49 , George Flaggs HD 55 , Mary Coleman HD 65 , Jam owala usa es Evans HD 70 , Johnny Stringer HD 87 , Diane Peranich HD 121 , and J.P. Compretta HD 122 .The big name on there is obviously McCoy. A decision should be coming soon. I dont know if there is any good reason to believe he is leaning one way or the other. If the courts do simply impose the House map that cleared that chamber, it may brighten McCoys prospects of another term as Speaker. But we shall see. Jeff Smith is running for Speaker as an independent so he is obviously running for re-election.
