When his wife and stepdaughters returned home earlier than expected, Gacy buried Butkovich beneath the concrete flooring of the software room extension of his storage in an empty area where he had meant to dig a drain tile. Although Gacy remained gregarious and civic-minded, a number of neighbors observed behavioral changes after his 1976 divorce, together with seeing him conserving firm with younger males, listening to his car arrive or depart in the early morning, or seeing lights in his house switch on and off within the early hours. Hours after Reffett was final seen by his household, 14-yr-outdated Samuel Stapleton vanished as he walked house from his sister's condo. On August 5, 16-year-outdated James Haakenson is final identified to have phoned his household, possibly from Gacy's home. On May 14, 15-12 months-old Randall Reffett disappeared shortly after returning residence from a dental appointment. On July 31, 1975, John Butkovich, an 18-year-outdated PDM employee, disappeared. On June 3, Gacy killed 17-yr-outdated Michael Bonnin, who disappeared while touring from Chicago to Waukegan. Gacy murdered a minimum of thirty-three younger men and boys, twenty-six of whom he buried in the crawl house of his home. |
