Oxlk Sleep Science, DIY Submarines, and Infectious Kissing Bugs: Best Gizmodo Stories of the Week
I never thought that it would happen. It was never on my radar at all,  actress Carrie-Anne Moss, who plays Trinity in the series, told Empire Magazine. One thing changed all that, though: She read the script to The Matrix 4 written by Lana Wachowski, David Mitchell, and Aleksandar Hemon.      When it was brought to me in the way that it was brought to me, with incredible depth and all of the integrity and artistry that you could imagine, I was like, This is a gift. It was just very exciting,  she said. https://gizmodo/the-moment-the-matrix-changed-everything-1833325908 Her co-star, Keanu Reeves, felt the same way. The tragic passing of Sir Roger Moore today has us casting our minds back to Bonds own attempt to capitalize on space mania after Star Wars rocked the box office. After The Spy Who Loved Me, series producers had intended to adapt For Your Eyes Only, but the enormous success of Star Wars prompted a change in direction, and so Moonraker was instead chosen for Moores fourth Bond film.     Except, despite the decidedly spacey title, Flemings original novel is not scifi at all鈥攊n fact, at the time of its release, it was infamous for being set entirely in England. Fans were annoyed at the lack of exotic locales in the books story, which revolved around turncoat industrialist Hugo Drax attempting to use a missile defense system he designed for the British Government to nuke London. The movie lifted the title, Drax as a villain, and then very little else, in order to make Dr stanley us axs plans for evil have some out-of-this-world scale 8230; literally, because Moonraker decided to set its climax aboard a space station orbiting Earth. What followed was one of the craziest suspensions of disbelief in Bond history, stanley us  as Bond, his buxom companion Holly Goodhead, and even villain-turned-ally Jaws battled  to stop the villain from launching nerve gas into Earths atmosphe stanley canada re 8230; while the United States sent a platoon of Marines up to space to combat Draxs henchmen in a zero-g laser gun fight.  Its completely insane, and quite unlike anything Bond had ever attempted before鈥攐r likely ever will.
