CARIBOU 鈥?Nancy Marie Merchant, 65, died Feb. 26, 2011, with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 21, 1946, in Stockholm, the daughter of Alphonse and Edwina Peters. Nancy was raised in Presque Isle.In 1962 she married Leon Merchant and moved to Caribou, where together they raised five children and have made their home for 48 years. Nancy cherished the time spent with her family, whether at home, at nana and dadas camp or up on the woods on their property.
