The meeting also was online via Zoom.聽 The meeting began with a performance by members of the Los  stanley cup Alamos High School orchestra under the direction of Michelle Rosette. School Board President Melanie Colgan then requested a moment of silence for the community of Uvalde, Texas.The School Board then recognized several groups of students including the LAHS orchestra, the Aspen Odyssey of the Mind team, members of the Los Alamos Team-4152 Project Y Robotics Team, the cast and crew along with director Jason Rutledge of th stanley mug e LAHS production of Les Miserables, and the coaches and athletes on the state champion boys and girls track and field teams.Colgan also presented certificates of appreciation to this years LAHS student body representatives, President Gwyneth Lyons and Vice President Tommy Oldham and school board student liaisons Elizabeth Booton, Lizeth Garcia, Nina Johnson, Quintin Madsen, Fayrouz Mourad and DeJahn Tafoya.Sanjay Kadu and Juan Dorado, with Dekker/Parich/Sabatini Architects presented a design update for Chamisa and Pinon Elementary Schools. This includes Associate of Arts degrees, Associate of Science degrees, Associate of Applied Science degrees, and academic Certificate programs.Rose Sartor, who is completing her Associate of Applied Science in Robotics, has been selected as the student speaker.Dr. Michelle Hall will deliver the Convocation Address. Dr. Hall is a geophysicist and successful businesswoman with experience working in the oil, gas, and mining industries, academ stanley mug ia, and the federal government. She is the co-founder of the Caf茅 Scientifique New Mexico program that is in its 10th year and has served more than 10,000 teens in New Mexico. The program brings teens together with scientists and engineers to explore the latest science discoveries and to learn about how to become a scientist, engineer or technologist. In 2012, she co-founded the national Teen Science Caf茅 Network and has he stanley cup lped to bring teen science caf茅 programs to over 120 sites across the country in 42 states.
