Parents of Oakville Trafalgar High School students have retained a lawyer to begin legal proc stanley cup eedings against the Halton District School Board.Frustrated with the boards lack of transparency and fearful of the escal stanley cup ating threats of viol stanley mugs ence against the school over the overtly sexual classroom attire of a transgender teacher, they have decided to take action.Celina Close, spokesperson for Students First Ontario, a group now numbering in the hundreds, said parents have followed board protocol, initially taking their concerns to school administration, then to the board and directly to their trustee Tanya Rocha . As the threat of violence escalates 鈥?there have been several bomb threats made to OTHS over the past three months 鈥?membership is growing daily, said Close. The Burritts made a large donation to this year芒鈧劉s program.OSWEGO, NY 鈥?Students who need school supplies when they head back to classes next month will find a bus load of donations, thanks to the United Way.In an effort to ensure every child is prepared for school, the United Way of Greater Oswego County held its annual Success By 6 芒鈧揝tuff a Bus芒鈧?campaign at different bus locations around the county.The buses rolled up to the Kingsford Park Elementary School in Oswego to be unloaded.No matter where they came from, they all looked the same. The seats were jam-packed with large cardboard boxes instead of school children. But now everything has worked out very well, said Ali McGrath, program coordinator for the United Way.The response in 2009 was one of the largest in the programs history.
