The Oakville Milton Humane Society has taken in 36 cats and kittens after their owner became overwhelmed and surrendered them.Andrea Barker, manager of animal care for Oakville Milton Humane Society OMHS , said the humane society took possession of the cats on March 18.She would not say where the cats came from, but confirmed it was from outside of Halton. Im sure you can appreciate that with that many cats in one house it is h stanley mug ard to do that effectively. Especially if they are not spayed or neutered. The city of Fulton sewage treatment plant along Route 48 just north of the city.The city of Fulton will spend what the Mayor says is at least a couple million dollars to improve its sewage treatment plant to satisfy a complaint from the state.City lawmakers Tuesday approved a consent order with the New York State Department of Env stanley cup ironmental Conservation.The city agrees as part of the consent order to pay a $2,000 fine.脗聽 The initial fine was larger, said Mayor Ron Woodward, but the DEC agreed to reduce the fine if the city used the portion that was waived for engineering studies on how to renovate the sewage treatment plant.Woodward said the state found that the city violated water quality standards on five occasions between July, 2009 and March, 2010.脗聽 He said that corresponds to the time when the city had shut down its digester for cleaning, and to the time shortly after the digester returned to service. placement_509781_0_iwidth:100%;margin:0 auto;The digester removes the water from sewage wastes.脗聽 Cleaned water is supposed to be pumped into the Oswego River, after being separated from the wastes.Woodward said the digester was cleaned for the first time in 25 years.脗 stanley tumbler 聽 He said the agreement with the DEC calls for it to be cleaned every five years.He said the multi-million dollar stanley thermos upgrade project wont begin immediately.脗聽 He said the DEC agreed to let the city wait until next year, when the city pays off the borrowing from another project.脗聽 Woodward said the new borrow |
