Overall, worldwide shipments of general aviation aircraft fell 16.4% in the first three months of the year, to 444 units, says the General Aviation Manufacturers AssociationGAMA .First quarter shipments of piston-powered aircraft were stable at 315 units, while turboprop deliveries declined 32.6% to 31 aircraft. Only 98 business jets were delivered in the first quarter, down from 196 in the first quarter of last year. Contributing to the decline was Bombardier s decision to book Learjet sales on delivery of completed, rather than green, aircraft, which meant no shipments were recorded for the first quarter.Piston shipments were propped up by the continued ramp-up in production at Cirrus Design, which delivered 90 SR20/22s in the first quart yeezy er, compared with 60 a year earlier. LewissBarneys Version, is on board to produce the feature directing debut of emerging Israeli actress-filmmaker Dana Lerer.Lerer, a Tel Aviv University graduate, has directed five shorts to date, includingThe Fine Line, which played at Jerusalem Film Festival in 2015, winning a special mention from the short film competition jury and going on to be nominated for an Israeli Oscar. Lantos saw that film, and their collaboration began after that.With a working titleof Seven Nights, Lerers feature debut is being made with two Canadian partners: Lantos Serendipity Point Films and Julia Rosenberg, whose credits include Istv谩n Szab贸sSunshine,from January Films. With writer Tamara Berger working hydrojugon a draft of the script, the film follows a young Canadian journalist who comes to Tel Aviv for a story, but finds herself entangled in a variety of unexpected situations. Berger and Rosenberg will be in Israel this week to research and further develop the project.
