Children can register online at AugustaCountyLibrary.org and log their reading hours to earn prizes. Both the theme and the prizes for this years summer reading games relate to the Summer Olympics鈥攅xcept the librarys games are officiated by a skateboarding book character named Froggy.The library is also hosting a series of special summer programs at all stanley usafive of its locations. Events for grades K to 5 include learning about the food chain with critters stanley cupfrom the Wildlife Center of Virginia, playing historical games with The Frontier Culture Museum, Wacky Olympics, yoga, crafts and an interactive trivia show. Teens can participate in gaming, a fandom cupcake workshop and a Teen Movie Night. Preschoolers will like story times and puppet shows and the entire family will enjoy Movie Night on Mondays.This summertime programming is not only designed to be fun, but also serves an important role.
