Rnrt Waterfowl rounded up at Gibson PondAs more states legalize pot, kids are winding up in the hospital after accidentally overdosing on marijuana edibles, and parents are being pressed to watch how they store their supplies.Calls to poison centers for kids under age 12 who had eaten cannabis edibles jumped 1,600 percent between 2016 and 2020 to 2,681. So far stanley cupthis year, there have already been over 2,000 calls.The edibles, which look like candy, cookies, or brownies, typically contain about 10 mg of THC 鈥?the chemical component of cannabis that causes a high 鈥?and are meant to be taken in single servings by adults.Julie Weber of the American Association of Poison Control Centers says theyre seeing more incidents of kids getting into their parentsstash. MISSOULA 鈥?An investigation continues in Missoula after a collision involving a vehic salomon le and bicycle last week.Sgt. Travis Welsh, Missoula Police Department Public Information Officer, tells MTN News that officers responded to the incident just after af110 p.m. last Friday. Officers responded to the report of an injury crash involving a vehicle and a man on a bicycle at the intersection of Stephens Avenue and East Bickford.When the officers arrived, they found a vehicle stopped in the middle of the street and a man, who was unconscious, lying in the road.A damaged bicycle was on the side of the street. Investigation continues into fatal collision EMS rendered first aid to the man, who was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries. He later died. The name of the person has not yet been released.The police department is still investigating the incident and has not yet rele yeezy ased a cause for the crash. At some point in the future, investigation will be completed and it will be referred to the Missoula County Attorneys office for review.
